Whiskey Richard is a whiskey companion for everyone from the curious first pour to the serious collector. It's made by a small independent company, and it's early days.
Why it exists
Most whiskey records end up split across a spreadsheet, a notes app and a camera roll. Whiskey Richard puts them in one place: the bottles you own, what you paid, what you tasted, and the story behind each one — grain recipe, distillery, cask and finish.
It's built on a deep, growing catalog of the whiskey world, and on a simple idea: the better you understand what's in the glass, the more you get out of it. That's what Elevate the Pour means to us.

How we name things
Whiskey has a lot of overlapping names. We use four words, always the same way:
- Brand
- The name on the label — the family a whiskey belongs to.
- Expression
- One whiskey in that brand's range, like its 10-year or its single barrel.
- Variant
- A particular release of an expression, when there's something to tell apart: a batch, a year, a store pick.
- Bottle
- Your own bottle — the one on your shelf, with your price, your photos and your notes.
Enjoy it responsibly
Whiskey Richard is for adults 21 and over. It's a place to record and learn about whiskey — it doesn't sell alcohol, and it's never about drinking more. Taste slowly, pour small, and never drink and drive.
